Meet Tamara
Born in communist Yugoslavia, Tamara McFarlane dreamed of one day living in the land of freedom and opportunity – the United States of America. Inspired by the liberties enjoyed by American citizens, she knew she wanted a future built on possibility.
Today, Tamara is proud to be living the American Dream.
She and her husband, Brad moved to Katy more than a decade ago, where they are raising their three children. Deeply rooted in their community, Tamara and her family give back through service – from helping flood victims after Hurricane Harvey to mentoring disadvantaged youth.
True to the principle of rugged individualism, Tamara built and operates a successful small business in the real estate industry. Her professional journey includes a distinguished 25-year career leading Land Acquisitions & Divestitures for major corporations, as well as serving as an award-winning government auditor who saved taxpayers millions of dollars.
Tamara became politically active in 2020, joining the Republican Women’s Club of Katy, where she now serves as Vice President of Legislation. She has also served as a Fort Bend County Election Judge, drawing on her own experience growing up under communism to safeguard the importance of free and fair elections.
Now, Tamara is running for Fort Bend County Clerk to ensure government remains small and efficient, elections remain free and fair, and conservative values continue to guide the future of her community.
